Joe Biden’s allies signaled Friday morning that they do not expect a major overhaul to Biden’s message or advertising strategy.
“I don’t think this changes anything,” said Hilary Rosen, a Democratic strategist and close ally to Biden’s team.
Rosen said that the prevailing emotion among Biden’s team and allies is frustration and anger at Trump. “I sense this kind of anger that this could have been prevented. Nobody is gleeful about this. They are mad,” Rosen said.
Rosen also said that she thinks the development will make voters understand why Biden has approached campaigning so carefully and has resisted holding major rallies.
“This puts in stark relief why Joe Biden has behaved as he has,” Rosen said. “I hope it quiets Democratic rumblings about Biden getting out more. This ratifies their strategy of modeling good behavior.”
