U.S. stocks opened higher even as U.S. coronavirus cases continued to surge, reports CNBC’s Fred Imbert and Thomas Franck. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 200 points at the opening bell, a gain of about 0.8%. The S&P 500 added 0.3% while the Nasdaq Composite slipped 0.1%.
