The World Health Organization says it will continue its trial looking at hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment for the virus after examining safety data on the drug.

Last week, the agency announced it would halt its trial after a study published in medical journal The Lancet found that hospitalized Covid-19 patients treated with the drug had a higher risk of death than those who didn’t take it. However, the study is now being reexamined over concerns it contained fabricated data.
