Coronavirus disease cases in the Philippines rise to 35

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 10) — The Philippines confirmed an additional 11 cases of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19, bringing the total number of infected people to 35.

The Health Department announced this on Tuesday on their social media accounts, without providing details about the new cases.

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla earlier said one man from Imus, Cavite was confirmed to have COVID-19. It is not clear whether he is among those earlier confirmed by the Health Department or is part of the new set of cases.

Two Chinese nationals who contracted the disease have earlier recovered and left the country, while one died.
