Hartlepool student tests negative for coronavirus

    A student at a school in Hartlepool has tested negative for coronavirus after returning from a skiing trip to Austria.

    About 50 students from the town’s Dyke House Academy travelled to Hermagor in Austria, but also visited an area in Italy close to an outbreak of the virus.

    One pupil developed flu-like symptoms after returning home and was immediately tested for coronavirus.

    However, the school has confirmed the results were negative and the site is open as normal.
